Thanks Bill, this is just what I expected. It's the same thing that happened with my wiper motor.

Tomas,
You should not connect power to more than one motor winding at a time.
These are permanent magnet motors with motor and the field windings are in series. Which field winding is receives power controls the field strength and thus the speed of the motor.
As the motor rotates, it induces voltages in all the field windings. If power is applied to more than one field winding the voltage induced by the motors rotation will see a short circuit across one of the windings and will definitely overheat that winding.
