It is true of the oil PRESSURE sender but that's not what we're talking 
about here.

The oil temperature sender for the Veglia oil temperature gauge is 
apparently also a Veglia part, and for whatever reason it is very, very 
difficult to source.  I chased after one for Stephane Bergeron for the 
better part of a year.  The Pantera vendors were constantly 
backordered, expecting a delivery any day now, which never came.

He finally found one sitting on Larry Stock's shelf and bought it--I 
think the sender alone was close to $300.

So.  Do not thing for a moment that you will simply toss your existing 
sender over your shoulder and replace it.  Senders typically don't leak 
in and of themselves; it's leaking past the threads, if anything.
