Art,

Mine were similarly stuck to the cowl so I fabricated a j-hook shaped tool
out of steel using a grinder. The hook was as large as I could make it and
still pass through the grate and hook underneath. I used a Vise-Grip to
hold the hook. This way I could apply pressure near one of the pins where
the grill is strongest without chipping the paint on the cowl

Subject: [DeTomaso] Trouble Removing Wiper Grill

It appears that the wiper grills have never been off of #2556, so it
looks like they have been there for 37 years! I've already broken one using
needle nose pliers, (the way I have always removed them on #4268). Any
suggestions on how to get these off without doing any more damage?
