I think it is suggested to always use some form of thread lubricant, be it never sieze or even parrafin wax on all aluminum, stainless and chrome plated metal hardware due to their particular tendency to gall the threads and effectively weld themselves together.Internaliy cut threads are particularly prone to galling due to the rough finish left by the tap compared to the finish of rolled threads applied to a bolt.Larry
