[DeTomaso] How tough are 15" factory magnesium wheels

On some of the stick on weights the adhesive appears to be on a thin open cell foam backing rather
than just a sticky strip.  On those (actually all) I have put a thin bead of RTV/silicone/bathtub caulk
whatever to protect the adhesive.  That seems to have worked rather well short of a big strip of
aluminum or ducktape...quack.
