No.   In fact I'd say most aftermarket wheels are either just as thick, or 
slightly thinner than the Campagnolo wheels, so there is no need.

One exception is the factory Gr4/GT5/GT5-S wheels, which are a fair bit 
thicker, and thus require longer studs than the standard Campagnolo wheels.
