[DeTomaso] Engine Bay Air Flow

Both Greg Esakoff and Colin Haney have/had roof scoops directing air to the intake. I purchased a scoop for "The Beast" but have not been able to will myself into cutting through the roof. For one, it looks like there is a double layer of steel, two it seems like too much of a butcher job, even for The Beast.
I was told Esakoff was able to increase the fuel into his EFI and gain something like 50hp, which supposedly contributed to a ZF failure.
