[DeTomaso] Oil, re-hash

A second opinion if I may...

The reason Mr. Motor has lived so long may very well be the diet of Zink
that he has consumed during his lifetime. So why change now?

Speaking of things I do not understand. I can see how this Zink would not
mater to a roller lifter, as it is rolling along on the cam. But even on a
newer, over head cam motor, you still have a rocker or rider rubbing on a
cam. How is this different then a flat tappet motor? Rubbing is rubbing in
my world...

Dear David,

My *comment* is that I think you're right. In a "mature", high mileage
engine, there is not much practical benefit by struggling with ZDDP
nutritional standards for old lifter-cam interface.

However, my suspicion is that truly knowledgeable minds know that there is
*some* benefit.......which I am open to learning.

Warmest regards, Chuck Engles
