Somebody was pulling Jack's leg.   There were no 'special' versions of the 
Boss 429; in fact all of them were equally 'special', and all had the special 
NASCAR identification tag that was placed on the driver's door.

Do a bit of a Google search on "Boss 429 History" to learn all the facts.
