When refueling the Pantera, it is customary to invert the gas nozzle
when inserting it into the tank, this is especially true on L model
Pantera that have the fuel fill in the drivers side gill. This helps
prevent back-swirl of the gasoline which then tends to "kick-off" the
pump and stop flowing fuel into the tank. You'll have to experiment
with it to get it just right, but basically turn the handle over and
then insert it into the tank. You should be able to fill much faster
and more efficiently that way. It seems awkward to hold it
upside-down, but it works.
