Our friend in Pahrump NV runs a 'Vette engined Fiero in SCCA autocross. So 
far, he's gotten about one year of competition out of a stock 5-speed transaxle 
(3 times), had to have Moser make billet halfshafts (even Toronado halfshafts 
break!) and generally says that the conversion will last longer with an 
automatic transaxle. And he trailers the machine to and from events. He also has a 
Northstar-powered Fiero and says this is a much nicer conversion for a 5-speed 
(smaller engine and far less torque to break things), although it took his 
full expertise as an electronics engineer to integrate the engine electronics to
