Figuring stuff like this out keeps the game interesting.  It is half the 
fun.

I was with Will Kooiman this weekend marveling at the remnants of his 
grenaded engine from the BBORR.  He was using me as a bit of a sounding 
board on next steps.  He pointed out that working on getting the Pantera 
just right is among the most enjoyable facets of ownership to him.  Perhaps,

even better than driving it.

He clarified that other non-car people just don't understand and remark 
negatively about the percentage of time the car is being worked on verses 
being driven.  I can relate to that remark - I've heard it from one of my 
neighbors often.

Then Will used an analogy that actually put it in perspective for me.  He 
said, "It is like asking a gardener, When are you finished?"  Of course one 
never is - the joy is as much in the process as the end result.

Bob B. will get bored of the car when everything is just right and there is 
nothing left to engineer.  It is even more rewarding as you move into less 
traveled territory that hasn't been resolved before.
