If the valve geometry was off, that would be the engine builder's
responsibility.

Subject: Re: [DeTomaso] MME ENGINE - JESEL ROCKER ARM FAILURE
Jesel's racing products have an excellent reputation. Rocker arms don't fail
unless they're overstressed. This happens if the engine is over-revved, or
has
the wrong geometry in the rocker assembly, rarely from a mfgr's defect or
from too stiff valve springs. I'd have your engine's rockers checked for
proper
geometry (both heads!) then based on what is found, call Jesel to either put
in
a claim, or to order replacements for the broken ones. My guess is too-short
pushrods for the rest of the engine's components. It only takes 0.020" or so
to adversely affect rocker geometry; I think Jesel publishes the correct
installation procedure to get proper geometry with their parts and it only
takes a
good eye, a felt-marking pen and a few hours of checking- no special tools
required. You're right in questioning the rest of the assembly; assuming its
a
set-up problem, they may all eventually fail from the same problem. My
best
guess- J Deryke
