[DeTomaso] Ball joint zerks

So I have stock ball joints installed that I purchased from Wilkinson.  
  I've had some encouragement that I should probably install zerks to  
them.  So my question is,

should I install the zerk in the depressed center of the ball joint  
housing (which seems it would be awfully close to the ball), or should  
I install it in the raised outer ring portion?

How can relate some experience to me?
