[DeTomaso] Mustang rotor swap question?

I'm pretty sure when we put the mustang rotors on my front wheels we had to use the studs that came with it; I remember my mechanic telling me I'd have to keep my lug nuts straight since the back ones would be metric and the front ones SAE.
 
I guess there may be other reasons to keep one's lug nuts straight, but that's just what I was told...!
