[DeTomaso] Mustang rotor swap question?

Hey guys,

I know some of you have successfully installed 60s Mustang rotors on the
front of your Panteras, and you made it sound pretty easy. With this in mind, I
shipped a pair to Thierry Monney in Geneva, who was cooking his brakes
charging down those Alpine passes.

I was under the impression that all you needed to do was knock the Mustang
studs out, install your old Pantera studs, and with a new set of bearings and
dust seals, you were ready to go.

He reported that the Mustang studs are substantially larger in diameter, so
the Pantera studs spin in the rotor hub. I also sent him a Mustang oil seal,
and the ID of the hole is 49mm, whereas the Pantera seal is 44mm.

So, what is the experience from those of you who have done this, vis-a-vis
stud swapping and sealing?

Mike
