Yes.

There is, or should be, a BARO/MAP sensor somewhere that measures the 
air pressure. On speed density systems this sensor measures the intake 
manifold pressure, but on mass air systems it measures the surrounding 
air pressure. Make sure that the sensor is *not* connected to the intake 
if you have mass air. At least one Pantera-II ran like crap and the new 
owner found out that someone had connected the sensor to the intake.

On mass air systems the amount of air going into the engine is measured 
so it should adapt without problems.

I recommend you get the "Ford Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine 
Control" book by Charles O. Probst. It describes the Ford EFI in detail 
and has descriptions on all sensors, fault codes and also has wiring 
diagrams.

I believe it is good to keep the oil temp over the boiling temp of 
water. That keeps moisture out.
