Sleeving the driveshafts and installing cheap U-joints was a thing that Gary 
Hall did for a few years when stock replacement U-joints were fantastically 
expensive.   Now they are available relatively cheaply from the vendors (I think 
they machine Toyota 4x4 U-joints to fit, but don't know that for a fact).

Shop around, buy some stock replacement U-joints from your vendor of choice, 
have them popped into your driveshafts, and you'll be fine. :>)
