Very good point. If you're going to use a junkyard pump, make sure it's
from a car whose fuel demands would be similar to yours, i.e. a car with a
high-performance V-8.
Personally I'd probably use a new pump, but use an OEM enclosure for nose
reduction.
I've got an electric fuel pump of unknown manufacture in my 427 Cobra.
Rather than an annoying buzz, it just makes a clicking noise. Of course, it
could be playing the Star Spangled Banner and I'd never hear it once the engine is
running!!!!
