There is a guy on the Realbig forum, Chuck Melton, and others, who have a
registry that tracks the Panteras. What is her chassis number? That would
be the last four digits of the serial number. Send me some pics, too. Love
to see what you have, and glad the rest is in great condition. We have a
number of member of the chapter in the Portland area who would be eager to
help you get to know your latest addition. You hubby is one lucky guy,
finding a car girl like yourself.

Hi Mike and Chris, it has been a very busy weekend. Everyone had to come
and see the new lady in the barn. We live in Silverton , Or in the country
about 11 mi from Salem. Sounds like we live very far apart. We bought this
car on Copart. My husband has always wanted one. He found her on line and
druled for a week with me acting like I wasn't interested. I am the one who
early in my child hood raced Austin Healy's and Triumph's. He grew up with a
Shelby Mustang. You see we came from different worlds. He at the drag strip
and me on mountain climbs. The day of bidding we all sat around the
computer. We all guessed what price it would go for. He was busy visiting
with the boys as I montered the cars coming up for bid. She was next and
started a10,000. a bid from texas and then my finger began to move and I
couldn;t control it. We bid on at 100.00 raises. We were at 13,000. my
husband never paying attention to the bid. Everytime the Texas bid I hit the
bid right after him never letting him even seeing his bid. Guess what at
13,100. he stopped, going 1,2,3,.4 sold! My husband says how much did they
pay for that car and the boys said you just bought it! You should have seen
the expression on his face. This will be the car that brings us together.
She was in southern Ca. We have a lot of other cars, 70 Mustang Mach I, 70
Camero that turns 10 at the drags, 70 Challenger Special Edition, a 66SS396
Super sport,& 70 chevelle . To many projects. As far as the front hood and
fender looks just like someone had a little accident,. My husband does body
work but these are to far creased. The car came without a transmission. So
the search is on for parts. Actually our car looks just like yours Mike. I
sort of wanted him to change the color to black but my husband wants it to
remain yellow. The car is in mit condition except the two small dents. Do
you know of anywhere I could run the vin number and get a list of previous
owners. The title came with an Insurance Co as last owner. I know where to
find parts for the muscle cars but this is a whole new world. Thank you both
for responding so fast. Let me know what you think. Thanks Sue
