[DeTomaso] Pantera Wanabee Question

Hi Jerry,

I am also 6' 5" but a little bit wider.  OK, OK, a lot wider, but it's all
muscle I tells ya. Yeah, that's its.

Like other exotics, the Pantera is fairly wide, so there is plenty of room
side to side, though getting out can take some extra effort since you are
almost sitting on the ground.

Many people have made adjustments to improve headroom and leg room.  You can
do likewise, or just find a car that has already been modified.

I have dropped floor pans and do not use seats, so I can easily drive with a
helmet on.  (For some reason race specs require a lot of safety equipment,
but never bother to mention the need for seats.  Go figure.)

The best thing for you to do is to go to one of the monthly meetings of the
San Diego chapter.  There should be several Panteras that you can try on for

Hello Pantera aficionados,

Newbee greetings from San Diego. I was told that you could help me with a
basic Pantera question. I have always loved the car but do not own one....
yet. However the first question I always ask before buying a car is....Do I
fit? Being 6'5" and 230 can be very limiting. So, does a big guy stand a
chance of fitting into an Italian car without graduating from an advanced
yoga program?     Many thanks.
