[DeTomaso] Techno question: it's the motor mounts

Correct. But whats more important is: 
-A- insert the long connecting bolts from the top, not the bottom. Done from 
the bottom, you cannot insert a cotter pin thru the hole at the bolts end, and 
if the non-locked nut loosens, the bolt falls to the pavement.
-B- before assembling, measure the reuseable rubber biscuits at each edge. 
Over time, these rubber parts squeeze down on the outside edges from engine 
weight, making a wedge shape. When re-using them, rotate the rubbers so the thin 
edge is inboard. Mounted this way, they will gradually go parallel again and 
not apply a twist to the bolts going into the block. Those block bolts often 
break from this wedging. The alternative is new rubbers each time. Good luck- J
