[DeTomaso] Looking for a steel zero (intermal) balance flywheel.

I used an 8" clutch on my alu, wheel. Which means not so much alu for treads
but
together with the steel friction plate it has worked fine for bolting. Let`s
say that
the friction plate was 4mm and the alu 6-7mm. A 1/3" of tread in steel is ok
then.

Subject: [DeTomaso] Looking for a steel zero (intermal) balance flywheel.
I bought a McLeod Street Twin, but it has a 157 tooth flywheel. I'm looking
for a high quality steel flywheel that is thick at an 11 inch dia where it
needs to be drilled for the pressure plate. A lot of steel flywheels are
machined on the back side to lighten them, and are thin at or near an 11
inch dia.
If someone has replaced a good steel flywheel with aluminum and wants to
sell the steel flywheel, please email me.
As far as why steel, it looks like all the 164 tooth aluminum flywheels have
11 inch dia friction surfaces making it impossible to drill them for this
particular clutch. I also want the angular momentum of a steel flywheel for
the specific engine and gearing I am using.
