[DeTomaso] Choke wire

Depends on the carburetor you have.
 
All Holley carbs use 12V to heat the choke. From the plus  terminal of the 
Holley choke, route a wire  to Fuse 11 or 12. You will  also need to make a 
ground wire from the minus terminal on the choke to the  chassis. Do not connect 
the choke plus wire to either the alternator plus  terminal or the right hand 
big terminal on the the starter solenoid on the  passenger side of the 
firewall. If you do, the choke heater will be on 100% of  the time. Do not connect the 
choke plus wire to any terminal on the ignition  coil. If you have an MSD 
ignition, you can connect the choke plus wire to the  small Red wire which goes 
to ignition module.
 
Ford/Autolite carbs use 6V for the heater. 6V can be obtained by  slicing a 
wire from the center tap of the Stator windings (Green/Red wire)  at the 
alternator to the single terminal on the choke housing. 6V is available  at this 
connection when the engine is running.
