[DeTomaso] NPC - Roll bar prices

Does anyone have experience with roll bar construction prices?  I just 
had a local cage fabrication shop look into building a bolt-in 5 point 
roll bar for my vintage racer MG TD and they estimated a price of 
$1500.  Seems a bit steep, to me.  Anyone have any idea what it should cost?
