[DeTomaso] Bigger-Better-Heavy Duty Shocks for SilverStateWOOPS -No Slacker Content

What's bottoming the front or the rear? You're options are stiffer
springs or more travel. More travel will require you to raise the ride
height (assuming you stay with the current suspension geometry) which
will affect high speed stability. Stiffer springs will allow you to
retain the current ride height but will reduce compliance which can
limit the ability to keep all 4 wheels in contact with the pavement.
Progressive springs would at least allow you more compliance at all but
the most severe loads so this might be the best place to start. The
bottom line is no car can ever be set up "perfect" there are always
compromises so all you can do is keep experimenting and then go with the
best overall compromise.

Good luck,

Gray

I am also running 750 lbs/in springs on the street and track (and I do
not
have seats to cushion the bumps. It's not bad, though.)

You can go stiffer, but as I am sure Goran will point out that there are
some handling and safety trade-offs as you get too stiff. (Larry, don't
bother. We all spotted the joke already.)

Maybe an integrated bull nose, skid plate, and belly pan really is the
way
to go. :)

thanks Art....They might but I'm at 750 now....I could be wrong but I
don't
think springs alone will fix this problem.
