Don't rely on scanners or faxes to maintain the exact same scale.  Use
postal mail with the original.

If you must use a scanner or fax, put a ruler next to the item being scanned
so that the recipient can verify that the scale has not changed appreciably
by comparing it with a ruler on his end.  For your small part, that may not
be accurate enough, though.

I need the measurements on where to plac ethe holes to mount this new style
catch.

It occurred to me that the easiest way to do this would be to find another
car that had the other style of deck lid catch ( as shown on the website
above ), have them remove the old style "dumb bell" shaped catch and do a
rubbing ( like a gravestone ) which ich also show the indentions, the cutout
and the holes.

Then scan that and email it to me, I'll size it to fit the space and mark
for the holes.
Any takers?
