You need to read Dan Jones's article on 351C rebuilds.

I'm not the expert, but here's what I understand from listening to the experts:

There is no advantage to running a 4-bolt 351C block over a 2-bolt other than for bragging rights. They are exactly the same except for the extra 2 bolts. In fact, when 351C blocks fail, the mains are still torqued in place and doing fine.

351C cylinder walls are not any thinner than 302, 5.0, or 351W cylinder walls.

351C cylinders, however, are mostly unsupported. They benefit greatly from a partial block fill. My block is filled to just below the water pump inlets, which is also just above the bottom of the freeze plugs. I used Moroso HardBlok. I'm sure my oil runs a little bit hotter, but not enough to worry about. If you are interested in this, Dave Williams wrote a good article about it.

And finally, most shops don't know how to hone a Ford 351C block. They use a stone that is too hard. Again, I'm not the expert, I'm just repeating what I've been told.

Will.

I don't abuse it very much :>0 only now and then and have a 6000 rev limiter on it. About 4-5K on it so far and runs great.
