[DeTomaso] Team Pantera Racing 2008: Year of the Rookies (was Re: Sandhills ORR- MD breaks my cover!)

Dawg,
     Progress is being made on the engine.  I am in the process of swapping my flat top pistons for dished.  This should allow me to run smaller combustion chambers and get the compression ratio where I want it.  If the piston swap and balance go smoothly,  then the block will be bored.  When we know for sure that we can zero deck the block with the new pistons,  then it will be time to custom order the CHI heads.  And then,  I'll probably have to wait at least six weeks for delivery of the heads and CHI dual plane manifold :-((   Oh well,  we'll get her back on the road one of these days,  and hopefully,  it will be faster than ever!

  Outstanding Art. I think we are already up to 5 Pantera's for the SilverState-NORC in May so glad you and Bill are joining us.
