Thanks AJ. FWIW, my engine builder, Stan Johnson of Ford Powertrain
Applications, one of the more respected builders in the area, told me to
NEVER run without the baffles, though I didn't ask him why, particularly.

I'm probably going to take flack for this. I removed the baffles completely
from my valve covers. I have a set of cast aluminum covers on the Mach I,
they came with the baffles, they appeared to cause interference with the
roller rockers, I couldn't see any real use to them, so out they came. The
pins are a press fit and you should be able to pop them out.
