I have a 393, 750 DP Holley, 550 hp, 500 lbs.Torque and it gets about 200
miles to the tank in the way I drive around town, highway etc. I think I fill
up with roughly about 15 gal., That's about 13 mpg.
On my trip to Atlanta on I-16 for 3 Hours I got 17 mpg at a steady 75-80
mph, on the last track day that I did, I started with 1/2 tank and did maybe
30 laps total in the two sessions ( 2.02 mile track, www.roeblingroad.com)
around 60 miles, if I had 7.5 gallons in there, then that's about 8 mpg,
because I was empty and praying on the way home to get to the gas station
rather than pay for race gas at the track at 7.50 or 8.50 per gallon.
