[DeTomaso] NPC Anyone Got a Mini Cooper?

Regarding:
"Corvette:  Used C5's are probably in the low 20's.  The one I test drove was
louder than the Pantera.  Then I got bigger pipes.  Can't be outdone.  At
any rate, they're a great car for the price, and they are reported to get
mpg in the 30's on the highway."

I hate Chebbies, I hate Corvettes (part of the new "be kind" to our  
associates program) but how can we argue w/ the stats?  Is this true?   
30mpg???
