[DeTomaso] 3pt seat belt setups

I went and checked out the 3pt retrofit system at Dallas Mustang.  It looks 
like it would easily work on the Pantera.  The trick is if the retractor 
casing will fit down inside the current stock location.  I bet it will. 
It's not that big.  I need to open that thing up, though, and take a look. 
The other thing about the kit, the female buckle portion was is some rigid 
plastic casing.  The DM employee thought it would be easily to open up 
though, and just use the interior belt portion, and chunk the casing.  It 
looked that way to me too.

They also can stich their own webbing there, so I might even consider just 
having my setup redone by them, and keeping the 2 piece system.  The trick 
is if the retractor is a Ford unit.  If it is, they said they have no 
problem working on those at all.  But this 3pt retro "intertia" system, they 
will not open it up.  Too complicated they said.  They only reason I was 
thinking about it, is just for my needs--the tan color they had was not a 
great match for my setup.
