[DeTomaso] New Tach Install Question

I used 3 conductor shielded cable, and ran it along my AC hose route, rather
than under the engine, and exposed, as the old speedo cable was. One thing
to keep in mind on the shielded cable is you really want to NOT create a
"ground loop" problem. This means that since the shielded cable has a
shield, you ground that at only ONE end (NOT at both ends of the cable).

My AC hoses have been replaced with the stainless braided AN type, and they
are run along the passenger inner fender well, and that inner "ledge", for
most of the way. My AC hoses are exposed only during their last 18" of run,
from the rear of the inner fender well to the condenser. Since the speedo
digital converter sender is right back in that same general area, I simply
ran my shielded cable in with the AC hoses... along with my rear view wide
angle color camera cable, and my rear decklid latch solenoid remote control
wire harness.

So, I believe the short answer is "no".
