When I restored out GTS a couple of years ago I removed the metal heater tubes than run inside the center consol and replaced them with Gates green rubber hoses. Not sure if it was a particularly good idea or not, but at the time that is what I did. Now that the engine is out and I am updating a couple of things I decided  to replace the heater lines with aluminum hard lines. 

Any way I ordered a tubing beader kit to make beads on the ends of the replacement tubes. Very cool tools. So far I have used them to make beads in the 3/8 inch fuel lines, the 5/8 inch heater tubes and in one of the replacement 1 3/8 inch radiator tube.
