[DeTomaso] Seat Belts and Harness

Guys:

I'm at that point again. Need to replace something. So now it's time to ask for opinions, recommendations, and all that stuff.

I'm at the point of putting my interior back together again... at long last. And my Simpson harness is way beyond the replacement date.

Which means I want to get the best that I can, but also the most reasonable. I'm thinking about the camlock rather than the latch lock version. Also, on the shoulder harness. I've got the bar that bolts to the bulkhead, just below the rear window. Is this the best way to mount the shoulder harness or is there a better system. My seats are standard Pantera seats, but have been reworked, and "adjusted" (Mike's sat in them, and actually likes them!). Otherwise the interior is standard stock.... no roll cage.

I've thought about the "over the shoulder" style of lap belt system that one of the guys talked about not long ago. Doing away with the Simpson style of harness, and staying with the OEM system. But I'm not sure if that's the best way to go either. I want safety, but also reasonable convenience. Also reasonable comfort, since I'm planning some pretty long road trips in the car.

If anyone's got a good idea, or opinion, please let me know. I appreciate all the time and effort that it takes to "talk" on a forum like this.

Thanks,

Chris
