 I did this job last summer while the
engine was out and now I’ll have a much easier time installing the new
pan. An air chisel makes short work of the original metal.

I would recommend removing your cross member and e-brake bracket and
installing the removable units from Pantera Performance.  You may think
you will never have to pull your pan off the motor while it's in the,
then for some reason need to and have to pull the motor to do it.  As
much as you would have to disconnect to lift the motor enough to get the
pan off without a removable cross member, you might as well pull it out
altogether.
The two pieces from Dennis Q are first quality, and will set you back
only about $170 for both.

Any installation tips or suggestions from those who are installing or
have installed the new pan would be greatly appreciated. I really don't
want to saw off the chassis support if I can help it...and don't want to
pull the motor either.  I assume I can loosen the motor and jack it up
enough to slip out the old and slip in the new?
