At the risk of pointing out the obvious, after 36 years its a fairly rare
Pantera that still has its OEM engine block, never mind what guts are inside
or
bolted on. And with the limited production to begin with- the 351-C being a
transition engine until the Windsor foundary was up and running to capacity,
and
the shortage of Cleveland blocks of any kind in wrecking yards nowadays, we
should be glad of an occasional useable block to play our games with.
FWIW, if you break your 351C, do NOT immediately throw it away. One guy did
just that, then when he found a completely stripped block to rebuild for a
nostalgia back-up, the bill for all the missing pieces exceeded $1000!
