[DeTomaso] DeTomaso Digest, Vol 35, Issue 1 Electrical Problems

The oil pressure and oil temperature gauge circuits (not the gauge 
lights) ground at the engine.  The power is routed through the gauge to 
the sender.  So without the engine being properly grounded, it won't 
read properly.  I would have thought that you would have ignition 
problems too...
