The turn signal arm is tubular and should be bendable but I suggest not doing 
it while it's installed. The plastic turn signal switch that its fastened to 
is fragile to say the least, and near the base of the lever, a ground wire is 
soldered for the horn circuit while the hot wire is inside the lever. I think 
you could buy yourself a fair amount of damage trying to bend it in-the-car. 
As I remember, the lever is only attached with a simple roll pin, plus the two 
wires. I'd also make up a mock-lever from stiff wire of the same length and 
see if, after bending, the horn button or the lever end is where it will feel 
OK. Sweet Ol' Bill in your neighborhood is intimately familiar with these 
assemblies and may even have a spare lever to play around with. Good luck, Art- J
