Unless I'm not understanding your problem, the OEM spare tire (a BFG 
collapsible spare) was mounted on a plain satin black 14x 6" steel rim probably from a 
std Ford passenger car. If yours is now on a magnesium 15 x 7 rim, thats a 
different paint color. Curious- J DeRyke
