[DeTomaso] Aluminum Rear Carriers on Ebay

Fred and Ken

I have a Bridgeport and at some point I will probably make some uprights for myself the old fashioned way. CNC is nice and quick but doing it by hand can be quicker in the short run if you don't want to make many pieces.

I've read earlier posts and things don't look like they have proceeded foward too much. I'm sure there are quite a few people waiting for something new and efficient.

The Corvette rear axle and bearing assembly goes for approx. $150. Not too bad in my book compared to Pantera axles.

I've got my work cut out for me finishing & putting 5481 back together.

I don't want to reinvent the wheel, just learn from what others who have gone this route before me. I welcome comments and suggestions.
  Mark

  Mark,

I've been working with a local shop to put together a 930 CV joint half shaft, billet carrier, cartridge bear conversion. They have had trouble getting an efficient CNC program, but appear to be moving forward. Hopefully they will have something soon.
