Just another possibiliy here. If this is happening only after hard deccel
when you touch the throttle it could possibly be running to lean. A lean
mixture burns much slower than a rich one and it could possibly still be
burning when the exhaust valves open in an extreme case. Going from hard
deccel to throttle again would change the air volume into the motor probably
more drastically than any other condition. This combined with too retarded
of timing may cause this issue. Just another idea to throw into the pot.
Hope you figure it out and its something simple.
