Although it's not often seen, it's entirely possible to use metal choke tube<br>
connected to manifold heat source, with electric choke as well.<br>
That'll give a heat source to the coil always when the engine is warm, and<br>
choke will still go off electrically little faster when it's cold.<br>

simple math basis I guess.<br>

If I remember correctly, the factory chokes drew air either from the<br>
exhaust manifolds or from under the intake, through the choke housing, and<br>
then through a vacuum port - in order to suck the air.<br>

I don't know if the electric chokes can do both. It might be one or the<br>
