[DeTomaso] ZF Reverse switch nuts

Some time in the past 50 years someone stripped or? the threads. I found this:

https://www.amazon.com/Sealey-10mm-Replacement-Inserts-VS311/dp/B0074IJWYQ/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

for restoring diesel glow plug 10m-1.0 threads and outside threads appear to be M12.  I don't know why, but the metal the switch threads into is really thin, probably too thin to tap.  I think I could use the glow plug insert with a thin M12 nut on the inside?

However sometimes people get too rambunctious and strip out the hole. The switch is supposed to thread into the hole and be secured with the single nut. If the hole is stripped the switch can just fall out. That then requires creativity and a thin nut on the inside to hold it.
