The Avaid oil pan by itself takes 8 quarts to fill to the top, 9 with a new filter, and a 10th quart if racing hard is kept in the head and valve train galleys. As you fill the engine with oil, use an engraver to re-mark the dipstick at the 6 quart level should be near the quart low mark, 7 quarts mid operational, and 8 quarts should amount to the full line, so you will know where you are at in the future, but your results may vary.

Aviad claims it to be a 7-quart pan. I know based on the shape that it
should hold more than five. However, does anyone here have experience
with this pan? There is an aftermarket dipstick installed and I don't
know if it's been calibrated properly.


If you have this pan on a Windsor, how many quarts to Full on a stock
dipstick?
