[DeTomaso] Anyone Tried an Air/Hydraulic Jack in an Engine Lift?

I have one of these rams, there isn't a lot to fail on them. If you get the 20% coupon it's only costing $96, I personally never take the extra warranty, I figure if one item fails then over a period, I have saved more than the sum of cost of the warranties and will just replace it. Nothing has failed yet, although I only buy brute force tools at Horrible Fright.

This is an air over hydraulic unit, the compressed air works the hydraulic pump to pump the hydraulic fluid into the ram, hence you need to relieve the hydraulic pressure to lower.

    I checked and a 2 year warranty from Harbor Freight is $30.  I won't be using this dozens of time, do you see any need for a warranty for home use?

    I downloaded the instructions and it looks like you can't use the in-line control to lower an engine, and have to use the same release valve used for the hydraulic pump?  Is that correct?
