[DeTomaso] NPC, How to Deal With Cloudy Paint

With older paint, typically it’s the top clearcoat surfaces that deteriorate before the sides. You might want to consider a partial wrap (hood/roof/trunk). It’s far cheaper than repainting those areas (sand/prep/paint/blend/clear/polish), and you can give the vehicle a distinct new look.

The Official fix is to repaint the car,
The DYI approach to buy you a few years more, is apply elbow grease and sand off the clear coated area's, buy a rattle can or 3 of your paint color since you will most likely sand through in some places, the get automotive grade clear coat in aerosol, get the two part kind that you have to push a bottom plunger to mix in the can first. Mask everything you don't want to paint and have at it. It will take a good 3-4 hours start to finish, and it will last 3-7 years more, but the rest of the cars paint also will do the same, Thanks EPA.

Our 2011 Infinity has areas of cloudy paint on the roof in the roof photo. A little was there in 2014 but now it is a 2nd car and not in the garage. I seems to be spreading the more the car is in the sun.
I tried polishing it away but ended up with the result in the 2nd photo so stopped before I did damage.
Suggestions please?
