Kjeld,
In the GT5 era no two engines were built the same, I don’t think. As a general rule, the standard offering was simply an Australian production engine that was just popped off the crate and dropped in. In the 1970s the Gr3 option consisted of little more than external bolt-ons (Ford or Holley aluminum intake and a Holley 650 double-pumper carb). But by the time Ford was out of the picture completely, if a customer wanted a “Gr3” engine, that meant that De Tomaso workers popped open the standard motor and hot-rodded it. I git to look at factory paperwork on numerous GT5 and GT5-S Panteras while on one of my visits to Modena, and it was amazing to see the lack of consistency from one to the next. Various camshaft, intake and carburetor combinations were used, depending on the customer’s desires and/or De Tomaso’s whims, and/or the parts they could get their hands on at the moment.
As for your car, I would assume it has some sort of aluminum intake and Holley carb. It probably has a non-standard cam, but you would have to examine it for identifying marks to know what it is.
The recently departed and much-missed Marcel Schaub likely had the original paperwork on your car which would answer a lot of questions. It’s unknown what will become of that archive, but at some point it will likely be accessible once more.
Lashdeep Singh recently got his hands on some (not all) factory paperwork so he might have the info.
And of course a Phillippe Olczyk has a bunch which he will happily sell you for a lot of money.
Cheers!
Mike
