[DeTomaso] Looking for a Cleveland engine builder

Dear Scott,

FWIW, my engine builder in Oklahoma City, who is highly regarded, has extensive experience with Clevelands, but he is slowing down prior to getting serious about retirement in the indefinite future. He tells me that he is limiting his work to his old customers. Also, non-competition engines are second priority and build time is measured in months. If you are interested, then I can inquire whether he would consider your re-build.

                     Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

Subject: [DeTomaso] Looking for a Cleveland engine builder

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday was Oil Pan Swap Saturday (upgrading to an Aviad pan from stock), and after dropping the stock unit, I saw not just glitter, but metal chunks in the bottom of the sump <insert multiple explicatives here>. As my engine builder retired many moons ago and Dave McLain is no longer building motors, I’m now searching for a new Cleveland specialist. Anyone have someone they can recommend? While I’d prefer someone in the SoCal area, I’m not opposed to shipping the engine out of state to the right person.

Many thanks,

Scott
